Dual ->Multi

「未来はデュアルコアにある」--インテル社長、IDFの基調講演で
同時に複数OS動かせば良いんですよ。いやまあいろいろ有るんですが。L2キャッシュが非共有なIA-32マルチコアって言うのは小さいSMPであって、プリフェッチが強化されたDDR3やシリアルパケットなFB-DIMMならばメモリへのリクエストを交互に出してもそれなりに性能はスケーリングしますし。いや巨大L2を共有した方が相関の強いキューを並列処理するには良いのかもしれませんけど。するとCPUとしての振る舞いの特性がずいぶん変わってしまいますしね。EPICアーキテクチャにはいいかも。Power系なんかはそうしてますが。
